Peace and quiet of falling leaves has returned to Deltaville. Last week was stressfull and lots of hard work here at DYC as preparations were made for Hurricane Sandy’s approach and potential arrival. Many, many boats were hauled and secured. We are thankful to say that other than minor canvas damage and a few loose dock boards, DYC boaters did very well. Our hearts go out to the boaters and homeowners who are suffering with severe damage in NJ and NYC. Terrible to watch on the news reports. We encourage all of you to support the Red Cross as they provide for the many needs in that area. We thank all of you who sent kind comments to DYC during storm prep. We appreciate the supportive thoughts and prayers.
Now that the weather is a bit more stable, DYC cruisers are preparing to go south for the winter. We will soon begin to receive emails and pictures of palm trees and smiling boaters’ faces. Enjoy every minute and know that we are here ‘holding down the marina’…ready to help any way we can….
Lew keeps hoping for someone calling for ‘onsite’ island tech support….he would be there in a heartbeat!
