What a beautiful day in Deltaville! This is the 10th year that Lew and I have helped with the Heritage Day Crab Races. What a fun tradition!
133 crabs were raced (thank you J & W Seafood for your kind donation!)and the 12 race winners went home with a 2013 Crab Race Winner T-shirt (compliments of Deltaville Yachting Center!).

There was one family who brought their own VERY FAST crabs…a long standing family tradition, with the young Mother of two remembering when she was the little girl bringing crabs to race.

Some of the best crab names today were: Turbo, Lightening, Sneaky Snook and Chewie:)

Brad Norris continued a long standing family tradition by building a child size deadrise boat…named ‘Family Traditions’ ….for entry in the children’s patriotic parade. Brad’s grandfather, Willard Norris, is one of Deltaville’s well known boat builders.

Thanks for the memories….and fast crabs!!
