We love boaters and especially when they love their boats.
Lew Grimm has a saying “Every boat is someones pride and joy.” The size and age of the boat (or the boater) has nothing to do with that ‘pride and joy’. 58′ yachts and 13′ dinghies can be equally en’joyed’ by 13 year olds and 58 year olds.
We recently sold a Catalina 355 and a Catalina 16.5 cb…both are being joyfully sailed by very proud owners. The excitement bubbles over and all of us here at Deltaville Yachting Center get to ‘enjoy’ that boat right along with the owners.
I can remember years ago, that Lew’s Mom would love to hear all about our travels and adventures….saying “I enjoy each of them through you.” Now I really know what she meant.
Last weekend, a DYC boater and friend, Bob S., came proudly into the Ship’s Store with a fantastic precise 12 inch model of his 2005 Catalina 250, Hull #801. Everyone on the DYC team got to see this detailed replica encased in glass which was made by www.abordage.com.
Each of us were part of the fun and joy of this boater…who loves his boat!
