Deltaville Maritime Museum is holding its first lecture on November 15th.
For those of you interested in the Civil War in the Coastal areas of Middlesex and Mathews, Va. there will be a presentation by Kellee Blake in the library of the Deltaville Maritime Museum on November 15th at 2 pm. The topic will be Confederate Raiders Beall and Fitzhugh. These men operated out of Mathews and conducted several very successful maritime raids culminating on the Piankatank. Kellee has spent many years studying the lives of these two men, one of whom has a connection to the assassination of Lincoln. The other was born in Middlesex and served as a reinforcement for John Taylor Wood.
